1 Making a purchase
Our payment system operates through Paypal, and we accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro and American Express). You may place your order and credit card information via the website, over the phone or by post.
We can also accept payment by cheque or postal order. If you wish to do so, please make cheques, PO’s payable to Mollie and Max and remember to include postage. Please also send us a covering letter detailing your order, cheque guarantee card number, guaranteed amount, expiry date, contact details and delivery address. Products will be sent out once the payment has cleared. Please allow 5 working days for cheques to clear.
We currently accept payments in GB Sterling. If you are purchasing from outside the UK, place your order in the normal way and your credit card company will convert the purchase to your own currency
2 Delivery
We endeavour to despatch all orders within 2 working days of receipt. However on occasion there may be a delay for reasons beyond our control; if this is the case we will advise you. In any case you will normally receive your order within ten working days. Overseas customers should allow up to twenty eight days. If the item is not in stock, we will email you and give you an estimated delivery date: if this is not suitable you have the option to place the item on back order or to cancel. If you wish to cancel your order please notify us within 12 hours: cancellations must always be confirmed by email or letter.
3 Christmas delivery
Please ensure your order is placed by midday on Friday 18 December to receive delivery in time for Christmas. On occasion this may not be possible: eg if the item is out of stock or if there is a lead time specified in the description, and if this is the case we will email you and give you an estimated delivery date: you will then have the option to place the item on back order or to cancel the order. We will however endeavour to fulfil all orders as quickly as possible. All items are sent out by Royal Mail first class recorded delivery or courier, and we are not responsible for any delays once the item has been placed in the post.
4 Shipping and handling
We charge a flat rate of £4.75 to mainland Britain per delivery. Normal stock items are despatched using Royal Mail’s first class ‘recorded signed for’ service. Heavy (over 5kg) and oversized items are despatched using Royal Mail standard parcel service, which may take up to five days. Sale and special offer items are despatched using Royal Mail's second class 'recorded signed for' service
If you are ordering from abroad or non mainland Britain, we will advise you of the shipping cost prior to processing the order
5 Tax charges
17.5% VAT is included for orders made from the UK or the European Union. All other orders are VAT free : we will advise you of the correct amount and debit your credit/debit card accordingly
6 Damaged goods
Should your goods arrive damaged YOU MUST NOTIFY US WITHIN 3 WORKING DAYS at:

. We will arrange for the return of the goods and a replacement or refund will be offered at no extra cost
7 Refunds & Replacements
If you are not entirely satisfied with a product for any reason please inform us within 14 days from the date your order is received and return the item unused and in its original condition to: Mollie and Max, Hornbeam House, Northfield Road, Wetwang, East Yorkshire YO25 9XY. We will be happy to send a replacement or to refund your money (excluding delivery costs) in 30 days from receipt of return back to us.
If the item(s) arrive back here with signs of wear and tear from use and not in a saleable condition, we reserve the right not to offer a refund or replacement.
If you are unable to arrange return of the item(s) we reserve the right to charge a carriage fee to cover the cost of arranging for a courier company to collect the item from you.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Important: Please ensure you measure your pet before ordering items that depend on size ie. pet beds, collars, clothing etc. You can either use your pet's old bed/collar as a guide or use a tape measure. Please always remember to allow room for comfort.
If you return an item due to the wrong size being ordered and want another size sent, we reserve the right to charge a further £4.75 for a replacement to be sent.
8 Environmental policy
Mollie and Max are very aware of the threat to the environment posed by excess packaging. We use recyclable and biodegradable packaging wherever possible and we also recycle packaging ourselves. So we are sure you'll understand if your parcel arrives in a box which looks as if it has been used before!
9 Disclaimer
The owner of this site has taken every care in the preparation of the content of the site. To the extent permitted by law, the registered owner disclaims all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the information contained in any of the materials on this site. Mollie and Max shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from the use of any of the information contained in the materials on this site.
10 Privacy policy
Mollie and Max never disclose buyers’ information to third parties. We use cookies on this site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart , and will store your details on our systems so we can efficiently process your order. We may use this information later if you subscribe to our newsletter or to send you details of any special offers. If you would prefer not to receive offers or communication from Mollie and Max please let us know
Payments via the website are processed using Paypal, which means that your credit card details are never seen by Mollie and Max
